NAME SUBMISSIONS
All names will be submitted via a form that will open on July 15th at 11am CST. The link will be available via a link on social media, as well as directly on our website.
This year, we are accepting 4,000 entries. Once we reach this number, the form will close. Last year, we reached our entry limit in less than 12 hours.
Yes! If you are submitting multiple names, you will enter all names on the same form to ensure that the names stay together once we start creating the final lists.
The most common submission is first, middle and last name. However, we encourage you to submit your baby’s name(s) in whatever way means the most to you! We always have many submissions with just first, first & middle, or nicknames.
No, our list starts new every year to allow room for new families. You will have to resubmit your baby’s name to be included in this year’s list.
We are always happy to welcome back families year after year.
Unfortunately, once we reach out limit we cannot accept any more submissions.
If our form is open, your submission will be accepted, and your baby will be included in this year’s collection. You will receive an email confirming your submission details once you submit your form. If you did not receive a confirmation email, your submission likely did not go through.
Yes. We will share the final alphabetical list 1-2 days after the submission form closes. Families will have a limited time frame to correct any errors.
We cannot accept any new submissions at this stage — this is only to adjust names that we already have.
Yes! We accept names and ship these pieces across the world.
International orders are subject to international shipping costs and duties/taxes. Alexandra & Wells is not responsible for additional fees required at the time of delivery.
List Design
Our lists are organized alphabetically by the first letter of the first name submitted. If you submitted multiple names in one submission, your grouping of names will be paired under the first letter of the first name that was submitted.
As this campaign has grown, we started having to separate names alphabetically into multiple lists since we are unable to print the full amount of names from one screen. This year since we are cutting and sewing every piece from scratch, our printing capabilities are better than they ever have been -- meaning we can fit more than double the amount of names on one list. Each list this year has around 1,600 names.
Our lists this are thoughtfully divided by the following letter groups:
- A thru EL
- EM thru L
- M thru Z
Your baby's name will be put into these lists based on the first letter of the first name submitted to us. For example, Wells would be on list M thru Z because his name starts with a W. We kindly ask that you double check your selections prior to completing your purchase.
The Preorder
Our preorder will open on August 8th at 12:00am CST | Midnight. All orders will be placed through our website. Please make sure you double check your time zone to ensure you have the correct time for the opening.
Our preorder window is currently scheduled to close on August 17th at 11:59pm CST. However, it will only remain open based on inventory availability - if we sell out prior to this point, we will close the preorder.
We only print each year's list once per year - so yes, the preorder is the only time to order from our full collection selection. We do set aside extra stock to account for any quality control fails or issues that occur during shipping so we have a back stock of replacements. Once all orders have shipped, we will list this extra stock for sale; however, please keep in mind that this stock is entirely random, and is not guaranteed to have selections from every size, style, list and/or color.
This is by far the most common question we are getting - and it's the hardest for us to answer! Based on the response we have gotten to this year's collection, we do believe our inventory will sell out. This year, we are working with fixed inventory levels, so the stock that we have is what we have. Because of this, we strongly encourage you to order as early in the preorder window as possible.
If the item you want is sold out, we will encourage you to select a different color or style that may still be available. There are always favorites, but I promise there are no bad options this year -- the entire collection is beautiful, and pairs so nicely together. There is a chance that the item you are wanting may be available with the extra stock we will list after orders go out, however this is in no way guaranteed, and we have no way of knowing what our available stock will be until all orders are shipped.
If this happens, we are already coming up with some tentative options of what we may be able to offer. I know sell outs can be extremely frustrating, especially for a collection that is so emotionally connected to every person ordering. Please be patient with us and allow us to come up with a solution should this happen.
Fit + Sizing
Yes, we have designed the cut of each garment to accommodate both men and women. This collection is intended to be oversized, which allows for extra room to work well with all different body types and builds.
Our measurements fit within oversized measurements for women - while being mindful to still provide a wearable and flattering fit. If this is the fit you would like, we suggest ordering true to size.
Our measurements fit well within standard measurements for men - and are slightly larger. This means that our garments will provide a slightly relaxed fit for men. If you are wanting a more oversized fit, we suggest sizing up.
If ordering true to size, these garments should fit you oversized. For men, the fit may be slightly less roomy, however the oversized cut and drop shoulder takes into account a men's build.
If you would like a more tailored fit, we recommend sizing down.
If you would like a very roomy fit, we recommend that you size up.
If you are between sizes, we always recommend choosing the larger size -- as we have found that it is better for something to fit a little big than be too small.
The material we have chosen for our ComfortSweats (which is what this year's collection is being printed on) is a 100% brushed cotton fleece. We have applied a special wash to the fabric to make it extremely soft to touch, and also give it a cozy "lived in" feel that pairs perfectly with the oversized fit. These sweatshirts will feel lighter than our Signature heavy crews and hoodies.
We are offering up to a size XXL this year. We do our best to offer the widest range of sizing that we are capable of based on our manufacturing restrictions and minimum quantities that we are required to meet. With this in mind, the oversized fit will allow for added room. We recommend referring to our size charts to see if the sizes we are offering will work for you!
Our size charts are based on lay flat measurements - as this is the easiest way for you to reference them and compare them to something that you already own.
If you are concerned about choosing the correct size, we recommend that you select a garment from your closet that you currently own and like the fit of. Lay this garment flat, and compare it to the size charts we have built for this collection.

Shipping
We estimate a fulfillment time of 8 weeks from the time our preorder window closes. Production for this year started in June, and we are anticipating our shipment arriving by mid to late September. We will begin shipping right away, and will fill orders in the order they were received. Our team is small! And we rely on a lot of help from family and friends. Shipping generally takes us about 3 full weeks.
Based on this year's timelines, we will likely still be shipping orders during the month of October. We do our best to be as timely as possible with getting orders to families.
Yes, we do offer international shipping. Please keep in mind - we do not determine shipping costs for any of our shipping (both domestic and international). Since we do our own fulfillment and do not use a fulfillment center, our rates are directly determined by the shipping partners we use.
International shipments are subject to additional duties and fees at the time of delivery. We do not determine these charges, or know what they may be, as they are set by your country of residence. If you have questions about customs charges, we recommend reaching out to your local shipping carriers. We are required by law to accurately declare all items being shipped in your order.
If you believe your shipment is lost, please reach out to us at hello@alexandraandwells.com. We will file a lost package claim for you. Since the inventory for this collection is limited, we will do our best to offer replacements to you if available. If we do not have suitable replacement options, a refund will be issued once the claim filed has been approved.
